Hybel.no is looking to bring onboard students, or recently graduated developers seeking to gain real-world experience and play a role in transforming the real-estate sector.  Backed by Visma, one of the Nordics largest software companies,  Hybel.no is one of Norway’s leading proptech companies that is entirely focused on making renting simple, safe, and effective for tenants and private & professional landlords alike. Combining both a marketplace with over 110,000 managed adverts annually with over 600,000 registered users, and over 3000 customers using our premium service, of which 800+ being small to large rental companies.

Who you are

You are a young eager developer with a desire to make your mark and gain first-hand experience in scaling out an established service that thousands depend upon.  You want to put what you have learned into practice, can argue when pragmatism trumps perfection, and want to know how it is to work in a growing, successful startup.  

You will be familiar with the usual developer tools and practices such as git, code reviews, testing, etc, and while we would prefer a level of familiarity with the technologies we use, your ability to learn and adapt to unfamiliar technologies quickly would make up for any gaps in experience.

• The usual trinity of HTML, CSS, Javascript (Vue.js)

• Python, Django, Postgres, & Celery

• Docker and cloud services

What you will do

As part of the engineering department, we all wear many different hats, we are a small company after all.  So whether you want to sharpen your frontend development & design skills, maybe you feel that backend development with Python is more your thing, or that DevOps seems exciting & otherworldly, you can be certain that there is scope to grow your skills, learn new things, and contribute to moving Hybel.no forward.

The day-to-day developer experience at Hybel typically involves:
