Meela is bridging the gap between research and practice and has designed one of the world’s most innovative matching algorithms with the intention to make sure that every woman - regardless of who she is - will get the best help possible for them. Founded in 2021, Meela has been granted Swedish innovation grants and secured investments. Today Meela has over 250 licensed psychologists and psychotherapists as partners and is the fastest-growing therapy marketplace in the Nordics. We are now looking for our Technical lead who can help us take Meela to the next level!

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be working closely with the CEO and be responsible for decisions regarding all aspects of the development, including tech stack, technical strategy, and planning. We trust you to make decisions that help move the company forward and give you the freedom to be solution-oriented by translating the requirements given into technical solutions. In the long term, we see you being the one building out the development team and contributing with your expertise to the roadmap.

Technical know-how alone isn’t enough since we are looking for someone who wants to be part of our journey into becoming the biggest players within the mental health tech market. We see you as someone who likes taking lead and feels comfortable working with different stakeholders. You can communicate effectively regardless of if you are talking to development or sales.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO

• Is a full-stack or backend developer with 4+ years of experience working with consumer-facing products.

• Feel comfortable having responsibility for the development of a web-based product, and are curious to explore a role where your voice and expertise matter.

• Have experience with agile methodologies, and in leading teams.

• Can demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others.

• Is well versed with mobile/web development technologies and languages, such as React, Javascript, Typescript, Node.js, etc.

• Is proficient with monitoring and observability tools, systems, and practices.

• Has previous experience with Python.

• Feel comfortable communicating in English, since Meela’s team is international.

• Has an innovative mindset and is always striving for improvements, continuously looking to reshape workflows.

• Maybe have former startup experience or have worked in a fast-paced environment and feel comfortable in it (not a must, but a big plus!)

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• You are responsible for the technical delivery of the platform. Both on a strategic and hands-on operational level.

• Translating and defining requirements into technical web-based solutions, and leading a small team of developers (including contractors) to bring them to life.

• Writing and developing code, and troubleshooting open issues and bug fixes.

• You help different specialists to work together and excel.

• You continuously develop your soft and hard skills. You share your knowledge with the team and inspire them with your know-how.
