Software Developer Intern

About Codeasy

Have you tried to learn how to code online? Many do nowadays, and most of the courses are not designed for a complete beginner. They either assume prior knowledge in programming or are too dry and hard to follow for a person, who has never touched the tech field before.

We created Codeasy with a mission to help people fill the gaps in the growing IT jobs market. It could be students, job switchers, or even people who want to jump from one IT-related job to another. (Like, for example, QA to Software Developer).

To make Codeasy fun and addictive we introduced an adventure story along with programming lessons. To learn how to code, our users travel into the future and save the world from the invasion of aggressive machines, and they love it!

As of today, Codeasy has a C# programming course with 41 lessons and 223 practical tasks, hundreds of monthly active users, and 600+ daily visits.

What will you be doing?

You’ll work closely with the CTO on the codeasy.net platform. Our technology stack is:

  • Frontend: Next.js, React Js, React Bootstrap

  • Backend: C#, ASP .NET 6

  • Database: MS SQL Server

In our tech team, we focus on clean, frequent deliveries and fast iteration cycles. Unlike many other companies do, we involve our interns to participate in the production code development, this means that what you do will for real be used on our website. So if you are all about “make it done” instead of “doing it”, and if you are persistent, a team player, and want to revolutionize the way people learn to code today - you are welcome to the team!

What do we offer?

Our ambitions are big, and we care for our employees and their development. The internship is unpaid, with the possibility of a future paid position, for the right person. You also get:

  • A lot of responsibility and the possibility to influence your role.

  • A flat learning curve supported by a diverse, passionate, and skilled team.

  • To be a vital part of one of Sweden’s most exciting startups in an expansive phase of the company.

  • Flexible working hours and remote work.

Who are you?

You are passionate about software development. You like to code and do it in your free time.  You understand that focus can shift quickly in a startup, so flexibility comes naturally to you. You are open to new technologies and trends in software development and learn quickly.

We expect you to:

  • Have Software Developer skills in at least one of the following technologies:

    • HTML, CSS, jsx, Bootstrap 4 or 5

    • Nextjs, React JS

    • C# .NET, ASP .NET framework

    • Basic git knowledge is a must

  • You need to provide references to your open source projects, live websites, or anything similar to showcase your coding skills.

  • Have a will to work in a rapidly growing, 24/7 live project.

  • Be organized and take responsibility for your deliverables.

  • Be a team player.

  • Dedicate 4 hours per day or more, for at least 8 weeks, to this role.

  • Be fluent in English.

Working at
CodeEasy

We are building a personalized learning platform in programming based on AI and stories for high schools and vocational education to assist teachers. The problems in this area are many for both teachers and students: 1. There is no quick customer support for teachers using digital tools today. 2. High admin time and cost for teachers. 3. Lack of teachers in schools with relevant programming experience. Today Maths teachers teach programming. 5. It is time-consuming for teachers to prepare and check programming assignments for students. 6. It is becoming difficult to stay up to date with the new changing tech era and the job market. 7. The course for learners or students is boring, theoretical and standardized. 8. We all as humans are different but we study the same standardized way. Therefore, no personalization for programming is available today.
