What we do

Imagine being able to invest directly exposed to the real estate market without having to use complicated financial instruments or buying an entire apartment. Apartly is the proptech/fintech startup that is starting a real estate investing revolution solving this very problem. Through Apartly, the customer can invest in fractions of a specific apartment. By buying and holding these fractions, the customer can take part in the value appreciation of the apartment, as well as getting regular payouts from the rental gains. 

Our vision is to transform the ownership models of real estate and create more equal opportunities for the younger generations of today. We feel much more can be done and we want to be in the forefront of that transition.

To be able to offer this to the greater majority initially in Sweden and then Europe, we need to construct our platform in an authentic and user-friendly manner and for this we need your help. 

The journey ahead

Right now we are currently operating with the support from a one-year accelerating program at KTH, the KTH Innovation Pre-Incubator Program, in which we have access to tools such as office space, grants, business mentors and investor networks. In other words, a lot is happening right now and it is a great time to join in and influence the outcome. 

Ahead we are looking to develop our platform and this is where we are looking for a UI/UX-designer with experience in front-end programming to improve the aesthetics and user-friendliness of the website.

Building the team our long term goal is to be inclusive, attract diversity and move towards a gender balanced team with complementary experiences and skills. We will put a lot of effort into helping every team member grow in their roles.

Skills & Requirements 

We are looking for an easy-going team member with a belief in our idea and an eye for design and aesthetics as well as experience in front-end programming. You should be motivated and self-going but also have great communicating skills and be open for constructive feedback. You have a proven track record of projects in web/app development to showcase. The programming languages currently used is JavaScript/TypeScript using the next.js framework for react and tailwindcss for styling. Therefore experience in JavaScript and react in specific is mandatory for this position, and experience with next.js and tailwindcss is strongly meritorious.  

Experience within startups is seen as a bonus but in no way mandatory. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building up a graphic framework for our website. 

• Working in close communication with the CTO.

• Design and develop our website, adapted for mobile and desktop.

• Be responsible for the user experience on our platform 

What we offer

Since we are still an early stage startup the position will not be paid by an ordinary salary. The financial incentive will rather be a generous equity-based program which will be agreed between Apartly and the candidate based on commitment and experience. With that being said, the candidate needs to be able to be financially afloat for an extended time, but is instead compensated with shares that can grow over time. Besides from that Apartly will offer:

The team

Currently the Apartly team consists of Max, Emil and Jacob, all students at KTH. Max is the CEO and self-declared stock market tycoon that more often than not performs below market indexes. He’s passionate about new solutions to old problems. Emil is the CTO that speaks fluent Javascript and shaky chinese, our Chief Googling Officer. Last but not least is Jacob, the COO, sports nerd and aspiring finance mathematician. He’s a food- and wine enthusiast and the best in the team at table tennis. We all look forward to finding the candidate that fills the gaps we’re missing, both personality- and competence-wise.
