We are growing fast and are now looking for a highly motivated R&D process engineer to be part of the research and development team. This is a unique opportunity to join the company during the scale-up phase and be part of laying the foundation for future successes. The ideal candidate should fulfill the following requirements:
Candidate Profile:
Ph.D. degree
or M.Sc. degree with more than 3 years of experience in industrial settings
Educational background in microsystems and nanoengineering, photonics, material science, or experimental physics
Enthusiastic, open-minded, and detail-oriented with strong communicational and technical skillsets
Duties and Responsibilities
Driving process development and production activities at DTU’s cleanroom fabrication facility
Performing and documenting process flow and quality control procedure
Working with other members of the production team to increase productivity, i.e. throughput and yield
Working with other members of the R&D Team on internal research projects
Interacting and participating in supply chain management of our products
Qualifications and Skills:
Hands-on experience with proven track records in MEMS process integration and process flow development
Hands-on experience with standard microfabrication tools, such as UV lithography, wet chemistry, dry etching processes such as deep reactive ion etching of silicon, thin-film depositions, atomic layer deposition, and electroplating
Hands-on experience with characterization tools such as optical microscopy and SEM
Experience working with a wide range of materials, such as metals, dielectrics, and semiconductor materials
Experience with data management and quality control
Fluent in English, both in verbal and writing
Additional Desired Skills:
Previous experience working at DTU Nanolab’s nanofabrication facility is a plus
Previous experience with back-end processes, such as chemical-mechanical polishing, laser cutting, dicing, wire bonding, and flip-chip bonding is highly appreciated
Sample preparation for cross-sectional microscopy
Experience with 3D CAD design and manufacturing methods, such as 3D printing and CNC machining
Experience with simulation software, such as Solidworks, COMSOL, and/or ANSYS.
