We are looking for a Copy Editor to support our authors in producing high-quality manual entries/ articles in the area of sustainable consumption & living. 

→ Do you have excellent BE English writing skills? → Are you passionate about words, expression, writing style, grammar, language, tone, voice, and copywriting and eager to develop your skills? → Are you a team player, but an independent worker? → Do you want to be a part of a dedicated team and train or boost your skills? → Would you like to ensure consumers get educated in making more sustainable purchasing decisions? → Are you able to work a minimum of 6 hours per week for at least for 6 months?

Key Responsibilities

As our Copy Editor, you will closely collaborate with the Head of our Content Creation Team and our authors. You will support our authors by ensuring high-quality manual entries in the area of sustainable living, such as "Sustainable Celebration & Partying", "Sustainable Mobility", "Sustainable Interior", “Sustainable Banking & Finances” or "Sustainable Electronics". You will have the following key responsibilities, amongst others:

• Working independently and autonomously to make our texts an enjoyment to read, flawless and grammatically correct. 

• Copy-editing digital manual entries, written by a team of international authors.

• Ensure our texts are suitable for a non-native speaking and international audience, complicated messages are easily explained and brought to the point.  

• Supporting our authors hands-on in their way of producing high-quality content.

Whom we are looking for

You feel at home in the English language, communication is your second name, clear, consistent, appealing and fluent texts are your superpower, and an exciting reading experience is your passion.

• You have excellent knowledge in BE English writing and grammar.

• You are a born copy-editor (to be) and want to train and expand your skills. 

• You are a critical mind and take the responsibility for your tasks. 

• You love to create the perfect reading experience.

• You enjoy putting yourself in the shoes of our readers.   

• You can get enthusiastic about sustainable lifestyle and topics related to conscious consumption - or even better, you GLOW for those topics.

• You are a student or graduate in the field of communication, journalism, language, culture or similar.

• You are structured and able to work independently.

• Otherwise, you are motivated, determined, direct, eloquent, creative, spontaneous, open-minded, positive and persistent.

• You have a laptop to work with.

We are an organization of highly motivated professionals from a number of different fields who aim to provide workable options, consumption alternatives, and solutions for consumers.
