Magma Math (Matteappen in Sweden) is a startup that is quickly growing to become the leading platform for data-driven math education. By leveraging handwritten solutions in a digital format, Magma allows teachers to place emphasis on creativity in math, while gaining key insights on student progression. This creates a more engaging, inclusive and pedagogical math class for all students.

Math remains the largest challenge for schools, where one in five students in year 8 are low performers. Math is one of the core pillars on which careers are built, and we believe that K-12 math represents one of the largest opportunities at improving educational outcomes and career prospects for children and young adults.

Job description

You will: 

• Be part of cross-functional product development team owning the product vision

• Work hands on together with engineers and product managers to take ideas to implementation 

• Illustrate design ideas, sketches and wireframes and test with users

• Plan, manage and communicate design process deliverables 

• Collaborate closely with other teams such as sales & marketing, educational content and founders to get a strong understanding of the company 

You are:

• Hardworking and willing to join a fast paced and fast growing start up

• Interested in technology and how it can be applied to solve real world problems

• Experienced as a UI/UX-designer

• Experienced with Figma, Sketch, Invision or similar design tools

Bonus:

• University degree in Design (Interaction, Graphic, Product etc), Human Computer Interaction or similar

• Experience designing digital products  

• Experience/interest in Edtech

• Portfolio to show your work
