Wanna be a part of making the world a friendlier place? We’re Speedfriending, a small startup that’s part event company, part tech company. We enable people to find new, meaningful friendships. We do this primarily through our Speedfriending events, of which we’ve now held close to 200. Speedfriending is the fun and social twin sister of speed dating, where the goal is to find new friends. We’re also taking Speedfriending into the digital sphere, and you can find our app in the App Store and Google Play.

We are looking for people to help plan and carry out our Speedfriending events, and arrange social gatherings for our Speedfriending community. We have a growing community of Event Hosts in Oslo, and we’re looking to both add further to this team as well as establish Event Host groups also in other major Norwegian cities (primarily Stavanger, Bergen Trondheim and Tromsø) as we are booking and throwing Speedfriending events all over the country.

Event Hosts are paid on a per-event basis, so it’s a perfect side gig to supplement your other work and/or studies. We’re looking for you who have some time to spare and want to join a fun and social community of people who care about creating a more social society, making it easier to find friends and reduce loneliness.

In this role you might:

• Be part of planning events

• Prep event locations before events, and help tidy up afterwards

• Greet and instruct participants, make them feel comfortable, and help spark up conversations

• Lead the event from the stage

• Be a contact point for our on-site partners who have ordered the event

• Help arrange fun side-events for the wider Speedfriending community (our network of hosts, event participants and users of our app)

Who takes care of what is down to the hosts present. We want all kinds of Event Hosts - both you who love being on stage and you who like taking more of a backseat role, greeting participants and helping with prep and logistics.
