§ In Copenhagen, we run the world's first sustainable micro-factory for clothing production.
§ A Micro-factory uses no water, produces no chemical waste, and enables production of clothes in less than 48 hours with a 98% reduced environmental footprint.
§ Rodinia is an awarded start-up on the verge of scale-up, with a current customer-base of Scandinavian clothing brands.
§ In daily operations, besides building game changing software in-house, we interact with hardware (printers, cameras, sensors, CNC cutters) that we can see from our desks.
§ Within this decade, Rodinia Generation is going to make local and automated production of clothes the most economical and green manufacturing option.
§ We are a fast-growing hybrid-team of fashion designers, commercial managers, production managers, operators, print specialists and software engineers. We are experts in our fields and share the vision of building a solution that can disrupt an entire industry.
§ Right now, we are looking for more brilliant people to join us.
We are building a software platform that can manage, automate, and control the micro-factory. This includes:
§ An interface that lets operators manage and run the production floor efficiently.
§ Planning and batching of production orders to ensure efficient just-in-time production.
§ Algorithms that can minimize waste and improve quality and speed of production.
§ Tracking of production orders and resources.
§ Interfaces and instructions to our onsite machinery such as a digital textile printer and eventually external entities and systems.
You will be working in a software team of 4-6 people who develops the software platform that controls the micro-factory. You will have two important roles of responsibility: act as tech lead, meaning that you will lead the architect and technology decisions and develop the software meaning you are a skilled developer and hands-on. In your position as tech lead you are experienced in the use of best practice design patterns and development principles. In your position as developer, you lead the development and coding quality by example while giving advice and support to your colleagues.
Our current technology stack is Phyton, Django, JavaScript, Svelte and PostgreSQL. As the tech lead you have the opportunity to shape the product and together with the Head of Software & Development, suggest the way forward. One of the first tasks for this position could be to evaluate the technology stack.
