Junior DevOps Engineer at Subaio

Subaio gives bank customers control of their recurring expenses. In a world where you can get everything from music and film to razor blades and cars as a subscription, bank customers crave an overview of their recurring expenses. This type of data insight delivers a lot of other use cases both for the bank and its customers – everything from switching to a better deal, getting approved for a loan and much more. This is what we do at Subaio. We’re on a mission of giving bank customers full control of their recurring expenses.

We’re looking for like-minded souls that want to join us on this mission. We’re a well-funded fintech with over 40 employees growing fast and getting customers even faster. We’re already live with some of the biggest and most innovative banks in Europe like Nordea, Lunar, ABN AMRO and many more.  

What will you do?

We are looking for an aspiring DevOps engineer/technician to join our amazing engineering team. You will take care of reliability of our application stack and evolve into automating and simplifying deployment and configuration of our software and infrastructure.

You will be part of a dedicated team who has the responsibility of our application and infrastructure reliability, and also the responsibility for improving and automating our systems. We have minimal overhead and bureaucracy as we want the team members to be able to focus on our product.

Our technology stack consists of Java Spring Boot, Python, MariaDB, and React.js, and our architecture is cloud-agnostic and primarily built with microservices and Docker. We administer large-scale systems with billions of transactions where large banks depend on our services.

You should apply if …

The most important thing for us is that you have a passion for the more technical aspects of IT. Maybe you have Linux on your laptop, run a Raspberry Pi at home, or have added several IoT devices to your apartment. As long as you are curious and ambitious, we will teach you the skills you need and help you grow in the role.

The following skills are a plus, but not required

• Experience with Linux system operation and troubleshooting 

• Experienced with running and creating shell scrips

• Knowledge with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus) and cloud tools (Docker) 

• You like helping others and love solving technical problems.

• You are fluent in English.
