Munchi empowers local restaurant owners to sell food online in a more ethical and fairer way.
The convenience economy has taken the F&B business by storm and off-premise sales have been on the rise for many years. Due to Covid, that trend was accelerated by several years, unfortunately, dominated by players like Wolt, making it harder for restaurants to build sustainable off-premise businesses. We believe the growth in the off-premise business will continue to accelerate over the years to come.
Our business model is based on a restaurant-first ethos — meaning creating sustainability for restaurants to operate off-premise while maximizing their profit is core to our model. We do this by throwing the commission-based monetization playbook out the window and replacing it with a fixed, nominal SaaS fee.
Munchi is for restaurateurs, by restaurateurs, and we’re shouting that from the rooftops!
The Operations Team at Munchi is currently looking for a new team member to work in close cooperation with the founding team.
Our vision of the role is to find a motivated team member who will learn quickly all the processes in the company in order to be able to help the team to integrate new tools into workflow and improve the existing ones. As the demand for our service is increasing, we also expect our new manager to help the team with expansion onto new areas.
We are looking for a natural problem solver who knows how to get things done and can make critical decisions. We appreciate passion and clear motivation towards working in the last-mile delivery.
What we expect from you
Fluent English. Finnish and Swedish are seen as an advantage
To be tech-savvy meaning being able to utilize new tools, such as delivery management and customer support software, as well as reporting tools
Some experience in working in operations or with restaurants, preferably food delivery company
Experience working with restaurants is seen as a plus
Managerial experience in fast-paced environments is seen as an advantage
To be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time and work under pressure
Skills of working with data and sheets
To understand the fundamentals of startups and to be able to apply own knowledge in practice
To be a quick learner and to be able to take ownership of your work
Owning and managing the onboarding process for new restaurant partners
Creating training materials for merchant partners and team members
Overseeing and scaling Munchi's partner merchant partner network
Managing restaurant support and engaging with hungry diners when needed
Working closely with restaurants and helping them scale their sales through their virtual restaurant hosted on Munchi
Planning and executing marketing and branding campaigns in cooperation with the restaurants
Integrating new tools and working on expansion
