Insurances are crucial, yet, the complexity of the product (and concept) leads to a very low interest. Hence, insurances are often referred to as a “low interest product” that even creates a barrier for people to act upon their needs.

Our vision is to make insurance more interesting, engaging, fun, simple and most importantly - understandable. Happens helps people find, sign, swap and manage insurances throughout life. In short - we’re striving to evolve the way people buy and manage insurance.
Happens is a young company that builds an insurance platform for the modern & digital individual. Our primary target audience is between 19 and 40 years old and yes, we understand that insurance is not the most thrilling thing - which is why we are creating a service to help you out, whether you are just about to move into your first student dorm or about to start a family.
On paper, Happens is an insurance broker, but we’re more than that. Our aggregator helps people find the right insurance at the time of purchase in an easy and intuitive way. While our platform makes it easy for you to own insurances from multiple insurers and avoid price-walking - always making sure that you have the right coverage at the right price. Import, overview, keep track of, top off, challenge and manage all your insurances in one account with Happens - for free! By combining our aggregator and platform, we hope to help every single Happens user to remain correctly insured when life takes its toll, without you having to put in the effort yourself. The position & responsibilities
We are now looking to expand our team with an SEM expert to carry responsibility and manage all Happens marketing activities within paid search. In this role, you will manage all paid search campaigns on Google, as well as other search engines, together with some display marketing engines. A successful SEM Specialist will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the team to maximize ROI, drive traffic, and customers.
In this role you will:
Set up, manage & optimize PPC initiatives & campaigns (mainly through Google Ads)
Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI or towards pre determined goals in paid search campaigns.
Track, analyze and report website analytics, PPC initiatives & campaigns.
Manage campaign expenses to stay on budget and follow predetermined goals & KPIs.
Optimize copywriting of ads and ppc landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns.
Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization.
Research and analyze competitors (e.g. with tools such as Ahrefs).
Create new and “supercharge” existing search ads
The practical
The position is full-time and located in Stockholm. As we are a digital organization, meaning your work location can be flexible one to two days a week, but we prefer seeing each other in the office to bond and execute problem-solving more efficiently! :-)
Your profile
You have proven SEM experience and success managing PPC & search campaigns across Google & other search and display networks
You are experienced in performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition
You have strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports / KPI reporting and can use analytics to draw conclusions to create and follow an action plan
You are a problem solver that strives to develop and learn new things and enjoy staying up to date with the latest trends in your field
You are unafraid and ready for a new challenge where you can find new/alternative ways forward if your initial plan does not go as planned. We see it as important that you’re able to always look ahead and come up with solutions by yourself.
You are result oriented and find it easy to break down long term goals into smaller sub/short term goals to stay motivated.
You enjoy working independently where you find it natural to solve problems that arise and take new initiatives to reach KPIs and goals.
You are a team player and have a good ability to work in a team to reach goals together, where you gladly share your insights that could help others, and the company, to reach goals and improve.
You are flexible and can adjust your work tasks and priorities fast according to changing conditions. You’re open to help colleagues if you can even if it is not “on your table”. The circumstances can change fast at a startup and all of us need to be able to adjust after new goals and changes for the best of the company.
Language requirements
Fluent/Native in Swedish, as this is the language you’ll be working in.
Proficient in English, as it is necessary for communication with external parties/partners.

Our work today is lean and scrum-based, divided into short sprints where an idea quickly becomes reality. Even though you’ll be working within marketing, you’ll get the opportunity to participate in product development and come up with your own ideas for implementation based on your findings.
