What are we building at Pluto? 👷🏻

In the aftermath of COVID and negative interest rates, investing has been brought to the masses so everyone can generate interest on their savings. You might be one of them?

As more people are investing, more people are also naturally talking about it. Investing has become social!! In particular, this is happening among groups of friends who use WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger or similar applications to exchange views on the markets and share new interesting investment opportunities! 🔎 Having the ability to share information with ease is one step towards increased financial literacy and can make the experience much mere engaging. Perhaps even fun! 🥳

The product 📲

Pluto is a new community-powered investing app for Scandinavia. We are building a product for ourselves that we have desired for a long time. A place where you can create a group with your closest friends and share the investing experience. Make investing more entertaining and safe! No commissions and with fractional shares. Mobile first. Written using the best tech-stack possible to be super user friendly.

The team 🎳

The founders (Joakim & Oscar) have known each other since age 15 and have built another company together before. Joakim holds a MSc Degree in Economics and have worked as a trader at Danske Bank and Goldman Sachs while Oscar is BSc in Software Development and have spent most of his career building software for the pharma industry.

We were part of the Y-Combinator winter 2022 batch and have raised $800k so far. The team is currently comprised of 5 full time employees and some key advisors.

What You'll Be Doing

As our fundraising intern, your main goal will be helping the company raise a significant venture-investment from a mix of local and international investors to help bringing Pluto to the next step of the journey: growth. 📈

You will be acting as the right hand of our CEO and help communicate, contact and schedule meeting with potential investors and also interact with a few internal advisors. I you want to, you will be able to listen in on some of these high-profile investor calls with everyone's consent.

If you like finance and aspire to build a venture-backed startup yourself (or work for one) this is a unique opportunity to learn what fundraising looks like from the inside one of the most promising early-stage FinTechs in Scandinavia.

We prefer you to start right after the summer break and preferably the internship will last 3-4 months.
