Wanna be a part of making the world a friendlier place? We’re Speedfriending, a small startup that’s part event company, part tech company. We help people find new, meaningful friendships. We do this primarily through our Speedfriending events, of which we’ve now held close to 200, mainly across Norway and Denmark. Speedfriending is the fun and social twin sister of speed dating, where the goal is to find new friends. We’re also building the new match-making app for friendships, and you can find our app in the App Store and Google Play.
We are currently looking for people to help us with our sales efforts for the event-side of our operations on a part-time basis. Our clients are businesses and organizations who want to partner with us to organize Speedfriending for their employees, members, users, customers, constituents etc. You’ll be working mostly with outbound sales to identify, establish relationships with and sell event packages to potential clients. We also want to explore other sales channels, and in the not-too-distant future we’ll need skilled people to help commercialize our digital social platform, so the position could also grow into a full-time engagement.
In this role you will:
Work on market segmentation and analyze and identify sales opportunities
Work outbound with phone and email to connect with potential clients
Be a part of brainstorming event formats and packages in collaboration with clients and event managers
Close sales, manage client accounts, and sell to existing clients
Be a sparring partner for the rest of the team on all kinds of other topics and decisions
We think you:
Have some experience with sales and building and maintaining good client relationships
Have a job or are currently studying, and you’re looking for a part-time engagement to supplement this
Are based in Scandinavia and speak a Scandinavian language
Are a genuine and caring person who shares our motivation to solve loneliness and enable friendship and community
Are self-driven and can appreciate the somewhat chaotic nature of a small startup
Some experience using a CRM is a plus
