We are on a mission to change how the world thinks about health and aging. The average lifespan in Europe is 81 years, whereas the average health span is only 65 years: Most people are sick for over 15 years before they die. Our mission is to close that gap. We are aiming to give people at least 10 more years of quality life.
Aging is the main driver behind most common diseases and the cause for this gap between health and lifespan.
We enable people to slow down their intrinsic, cellular-level aging process in a scientific and behaviorally-effective way. The impact of this mission will be profound both on an individual as well as a societal level, saving billions in health care costs and giving people more time: More time to spend with their loved ones, more time to do what they love, more time in good health.
Your role - calling all builders
You’d be joining us as one of our first 10 employees. If building things from scratch, tinkering and an obsession-like dedication to a higher purpose are your thing, we’d love to chat to you. We have to warn you upfront, though. You won’t find tight structures and hierarchies, nor can you expect narrow job descriptions and clear processes. We’d expect you to come in and roll up your sleeves, be action-oriented, thrive in ambiguity, uncover opportunities to improve and learn, and most importantly, never give up.
We can garuantuee one thing: Your impact on Vitalic’s story will be tremendous.
Specifically, you’d be working side by side with the CEO to programmatically set strategies, targets and practically deliver on these. There will be opportunity, and expectations to expand the role of the COO into covering more commercial areas, driving in new business over time.
Given the small organization and start-up-like environment, you’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, and execute quickly and pragmatically using 80/20 reasoning.
While excellent people skills, work ethics and leadership are expected, the small organization requires you to not only lead, but practically drive the work forward towards continued sustainable growth.
We’re looking for a candidate that has an extraordinary ability as an energetic entrepreneur paired with logical reasoning and a rational approach. We’re looking for a results-driven approach to business, taking full responsibility for ensuring strategic vision translates into profitable operations, based on hard data and experience.
Responsibilities
Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and execute on these practically
Design and drive business strategies, market fit and product/service development
Scaling the organization through new client sourcing and D2C sales
Support the CEO in expansion activities, fundraising, partnerships, etc.
Build relationships with current and new partners and advisors
About You/What you need to succeed
Skills
At least 5 years’ experience from start/scale -up or business unit leadership
Exceptional track record for scaling D2C organization or similar
Top-tier management consulting background or similar isa plus
Personality
Ready to roll up your sleeves, bias for action, and taking ownership
Bold and mission-driven, ready to face obstacles on the way to success - giving up is not an option
Obsession-like drive to help our customers, your teammates and society
Willing to learn, grow and work as a team
Pride in holding yourself to high standards and always striving to improve
