WasteHero is looking to hire a talented UI designer to help us define the future look of tomorrow’s waste management system. Your overall goal is to create visual expressions for both our technical and commercial teams, which includes new views for our applications using our design language or design marketing material for the commercial team.

This role will involve working 16 hours per week. You will be part of our Aarhus office (able to work onsite) and work closely with both our technical and commercial teams.

Job description

The perfect candidate should be able to boil down complicated features to a simple, elegant, and intuitive user experience. The environment at WasteHero is built on trust, so you should as a person thrive with responsibility and freedom. Your collaboration with the commercial team will be with user researchers and account managers to understand our segment and stakeholders. In the design and implementation phase, you will work closely with our developers and product managers.

This job requires creativity, curiosity, and the ability to act on your ideas. Your main goal is to communicate and express our features with the highest quality in an intuitive way.

• Utilize established design language to update existing pages and create new views

• Create user journey and personas in reference to our stakeholders

• Creating wireframing / prototyping in Figma

• Develop entire UIs in Storybook

Preferred qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Digital Design or a similar education

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Experience with StoryBook/Figma or other design systems

• You should be self-motivated and able to work independently

• Be proactive and able to think outside current processes

• Experience with the full life cycle of a design system(s)
