We are looking for a Full-stack developer to be head of tech of our start-up Happens.fi.

Happens.fi is an online marketplace which connects event planners and all the services you'd need for an unforgettable event! Would you like to join a growing company and help in it's development, while developing your own skills and responsibilities? We are a small team located in Otaniemi A Grid start-up community, with big ambitions and drive and are looking for a developer that shares those attributes with us. This position is suited for a student, someone in their early career or someone with more experience already! The positition will be tailored according to your skills and what you can bring to the team.

Job description

Happens.fi is a marketplace where event service providers such as banquet and conference facilities, experiences, and activities as well as catering services meet. Happens.fi is recently launched to respond to the need of event service providers for new marketing channels, and to simplify discovering, comparing, and contacting the service providers. Happens is now looking for a developer for their own team to continue building the platform. If you are already more senior, you will work independently in cooperation with the founders and content creators of Happens. If you are in the beginning of your career, you will get help from an external consultant in the beginning, while you’re developing your skills.

Job duties 

• Development and maintenance of the platform

• Project management

• Leading the development and building the tech team

Requirements

• Knowledge in React and Node (the current platform is Wordpress-based)

• Fluent English skills (Finnish skills are seen as an advantage)
