Hi there. My name is Nikolaj Bromer, and I’m the founder of dQmetrics. For now, dQmetrics is a 1-man team. I’m looking for a co-founder who can lead the development of the prototype and the hardware designs.

The idea is to develop a Smart Ring which can track the daily food calorie intake automatically. The goal is to make it easy for people to hit their preferred number of calories, whether it’s for weight loss/gain or to maintain their current weight.

The Smart Ring measures excess body heat, and by utilizing the conservation of energy and the laws of thermodynamics, it should be possible to convert the collected heat flux data into predictions of calorie intake and calories burned. So far, I’ve performed initial studies of the physics involved, the academic literature and done some vetting of potential vendors of heat sensors.

About me:

I have worked on the idea for 6 months. During this time, I’ve interviewed +30 potential customers. I also spent time testing competing products, such as the Samsung Smartwatch and the Oura Ring. Based on these studies, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the reason why people buy biosensors. I got a business background and for the past 6 years, I worked as a strategy and financial partner to IT project managers and IT transformations.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with prototyping and hardware development

• Experience in creating small units and devices

• Experience with 3D printing

Timeline:

I aim to apply to for an Innofounder grant by the end of march 2022, where I hope to include you as co-founder. If we get the grant the position will be paid with equity on top. The salary will be able to sustain you, but it’s small for the first year.
