About the role:

As we are expanding to South Korea, we are looking for someone who will be involved in creating an online Momio community for Korean users. This will include preparing a digital environment and processes to facilitate a safe as well as fun place for kids and teenagers in South Korea. We estimate you will work 10 – 20 hours per week and you will be able to work from home or come to our office in Copenhagen, Denmark. As we grow you will have an opportunity to become Community Manager for the entire Asia Pacific region.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive the launch and growth of Momio in South Korea together with our regional manager and the commercial teams at Momio,

  • Keeping our South Korean users safe by working with Momio’s safety systems and processes,

  • Work in a team to engage kids and teenagers to have a good online behaviour,

  • Managing campaigns to engage Momio community in Korea,

  • Communicating with our advertising partners and onboarding new commercial partners in South Korea,

  • Ad hoc project management to support the general development of Momio,

  • Translating app content prior to the launch in South Korea and ongoing translation of advertising campaigns and UI texts from English to Korean.


About you:

You are interested in online communities and social media as well as share our belief that children have the right to participate in an online environment on their own terms. These qualities are more important than your previous work experience, but it will be an advantage if you have a background in Community Development, Project Management or Entrepreneurship. It is a requirement that you are fluent in Korean on a native level. You’re also fluent in English.


Other experience and requirements:

  • Knowledge of and interest in online child safety, ethics, moderation and online communities,

  • Critical thinking skills to understand and summarize complex issues quickly,

  • Structured and independent working manner, with great overview and control over deadlines,

  • Excellent communication skills,

  • Passion for helping people,

  • Belief in Momio’s vision of creating the best and safest first social media experience for kids.
