Avallone is looking for a Senior Product Designer with a solid SaaS product design background. As our second product designer, you’ll join a hard-working, passionate senior team. Product design and useability are at the heart of Avallone, and our product designers play a key part in building out a world-class product. If you’re a Senior Product Designer with a passion for product design and love collaborating in cross-functional product teams to deliver outstanding digital experiences, then you’re the one we’re looking for.

At Avallone, our team is divided into squads that work on different platform sections. As a Senior Product Designer, you’ll “own” the product design within your squad, but you’ll receive feedback and input from the other product designer and the product managers as well. 

Avallone has our very own design system by the name of Fairytale to ensure we’re aligning the design experience across our product. It’s an ongoing framework, and you’ll be able to have a say in how it evolves.

Our design organization at Avallone is focused on aligning the visual experience and building a great user experience across the board. Currently, we have a Head of Design, a product designer, a brand designer, and a part-time UX/UI designer. Our goal is to facilitate a creative and fun atmosphere that encourages you to take chances and try new things out.

The product design team is a part of the overall product team, and you will be reporting to Sune Warberg Clausen, the VP of Product. 

Roles & responsibilities

• Partner with product managers and engineers to develop strong visual designs from product discovery, ideation through to execution

• Create prototypes to communicate your ideas

• Assist with defining user workflows; aligning designs to optimize the user journey within the product

• Carry out user research - for example, customer interviews and user tests; report on findings and provide ideas for proposals for next steps (adjustments, further developments, etc.) 

• Give feedback to other designers and team members to share your insights

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience within product design (SaaS is a bonus)

• Experience with working in Figma or Sketch

• Experience with design systems

• A strong team player that values feedback and has an open mindset

• Being proactive and a self-starter

• Passionate about keeping up with the latest development within product design

• Familiarity working in cross-functional teams

• Strong verbal and written English skills

Bonus points

• Experience with working in AML/compliance

• Experience with startups
