Translation Project Manager (Student position)

We are looking for a student Translation Manager to handle coordination and communication between our content department and freelance translators. 2-3 days/week.

 

Cookie Information is a tier 1 scale-up in the Nordics serving the largest and most well-known organizations within the private and public sectors.

We offer businesses compliance tools for their websites and apps so they can become and stay compliant with national and international privacy regulations like the GDPR, ePrivacy, and others.

To maintain our position and to drive new leads from the Nordic countries, the marketing department is looking to expand our content production to more languages while assuring the quality of our communication.

Therefore, we are looking for you to handle the coordination and communication between our content department and our freelance translators.

We write a lot of content for both upper and bottom-funnel, to different personas at different lifecycle stages and in different formats.

We are currently 40 colleagues in Denmark and abroad, and we prioritize creating awesome products while having a good time. That’s why we focus on our well-being and work-life balance!

 

What you will do:

  • Own translation management at Cookie Information

  • Evaluate and select content for translation with our content manager

  • Prepare content for translation whether in WPML, word, excel or .indd

  • Handle translation management and communication with our freelancers

  • Assess and assure the quality of translations and make sure translations are published in our CMS

  • Auditing website for content to be translated, missing or poor translations

  • Proofreading English content production

  • With time also SEO content production in one of the Nordic languages with our SEO manager

 

A little bit about you:

  • You are a student with +1.5 years left of your studies

  • You are flexible in terms of work hours (no, we don’t work at night 😊 )

  • Really structured and able to coordinate tasks between company and freelancers

  • You work proactively (you do not wait for tasks to be handed to you)

  • You know your ways around WordPress, preferably also WPML (but not a requirement).

  • You know your way around UpWork (but not a requirement)

  • Native speaker of one of the Nordic languages (Da, No, Se, Fi) and fluent in English

  • You may have an interest in language, linguistics, and project management
