Do you want to join us to empower everyone to consume energy intelligently? We are looking for software engineers located in Denmark to join our fast-growing team of data scientists and engineers. You’ll play a central role in the planning and development of our AI-first energy and climate optimization platform and our drive towards unprecedented speed and scale in the transition to sustainable energy consumption.
You will focus on UX engineering, but as part of a small and efficient development team you’ll have the chance to make contributions across the entire stack from infrastructure, data science and backend to UX and data visualizations.
Your responsibilities will include
Develop and improve new and existing features
Distill complex analytics to actionable insights for the end user
Contribute end-to-end from idea to deployment of new features
Take ownership and manage your work independently
Skills and expertise
Experience with web technologies: HTML + CSS + Javascript
Familiarity with Python/Django
Experience in product and UX design
Experience working with teams across the organization (from sales, customer success, engineering)
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Personal qualifications
A self-starter mindset - you enjoy working independently while keeping the team’s common goal in mind
A pragmatic approach to problem solving. It’s more important to you to solve the problem than to use new/hyped technology
An understanding of trade-offs between simple 80% solutions and complex, maintenance-heavy 100% solutions
Never missing an opportunity to grow, or help others do so
Comfortable with asynchronous, written communication
Join our team because
You want to make a difference and help drive towards zero-carbon energy use
We value freedom and responsibility and believe that empowerment is the key to unlocking success
We recognize the value of different perspectives and we aim to create a diverse workspace, where you can be you
Our open and candid feedback culture praises you when you do great and helps you do even better in the future
Practicalities
Our engineering team works asynchronously and autonomously, guided by our overall company goals. There are no daily standups or strict sprints but a focus on efficient processes that work well for everyone, individually and collectively. In this role you can work remotely in Denmark or from our office in Aarhus, Denmark.
About Ento Labs
Our mission is to make it easy and cost-effective to analyze and monitor energy consumption of every building on the planet with scalable machine learning systems and help drive decarbonization of the built environment.
Building energy use causes around 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions, and are still rising due to slow and expensive energy optimization processes. Using data and machine learning we can solve many of the inefficient steps in the process, including robust identification, prioritization, collaboration, verification and monitoring of energy optimization efforts.
During the past year, we’ve welcomed many public and commercial building owners and partners to our network. We are now covering more than 5000 buildings and almost 1 TWh of energy consumption. This has already led to large energy and CO2 savings, but we’re just getting started.
As part of the early team, you will be essential in making our vision a reality - we’re very much looking forward to welcoming you on our journey.
This job post will run through New Year, so expect to hear from us in January.
