About our startup
BRIM (Brands for Impact - www.brim.global) is the world’s first brand-powered impact platform with the potential to transform the current marketing model – where billions of dollars go to waste on intrusive ads with low conversions – into one that empowers consumers and redirects ad-spend to positive impact. We are challenging the big media outlets by offering brands a platform where they get higher conversion rates for less capital. All this while earning the trust that they deserve from their target groups.
About the product
We are aiming to create an app and further down the line, a web platform where consumers can come to for knowledge of what brands are doing what they can to minimize their ecological footprint and where to buy from.
Brands get to answer consumer demands by posting video content which users can watch.
By watching this content - users earn points, points that are donated to NGOs (by the cost of the brands ad spend on the platform)
By donating these points, users earn points and grow within the app. The higher the level, the greater the rewards they get from the brands on the platform.
Simply put; we want to create a holistic solution where consumers get the information that they need to make conscious purchases and put pressure on brands. Brands can answer these demands and gain further trust and connect with their target groups and a sustainably oriented generation. NGO:s get the funding they deserve.
Funding
We have received funding from Vinnova (300 000) which we used to create a prototype / proof of concept which will be very useful while pitching. Another funding from Almi have given us the chance to work with Berghs School of Communication to verify our vision with potential brands.
What's next?
Our next step is to start looking for funding enough to hire experts to create our app with an additional tool for users to simply search for items and what environmental and ethical points they have. This will be a good way to start getting users that can start setting their demands to brands that will want to answer them.
2022 will be a very exciting year and we are looking for someone who believes in our vision and is willing to invest their time with equity in exchange.
