The aquaculture industry is the rapidly growing food source and livelihood for billions of people across the globe. Still, it faces the challenge of covering vast areas and making decisions with outdated information.
Our international and dynamic team solves the global data gathering challenges using space technology to deliver a cloud-based platform with valuable insights to our customers, empowering businesses to increase efficiency and make sustainable decisions. We are currently hiring a Commercial Officer to lead our sales initiatives to help the company achieve its revenue target and strategic goals. You will work closely with the CEO and the Marketing Specialist to create commercial and business development strategies for short- and long-term results. You will take a global perspective on market opportunities and lead in the assessment and prioritization of geographic and market segments.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Conduct market research to identify opportunities and evaluate customer needs
Building a high performing sales team to execute end to end sales including outreach, pitching, getting alignment, negotiation, closing deals and implementation
Defining sales objectives and driving the team to achieve targets
Building strong and collaborative relationships with our stakeholders
Analysis of activity to develop the best and most effective business plans and establish realistic and meaningful KPIs
Provide financial and revenue support
You have a degree in Business Administration or related field
You have proven experience in developing and executing successful commercialization strategies in early-stage / growth companies
You have experience working in the aquaculture industry
You are result oriented and possess excellent interpersonal & communication skills
You have the ability to influence, engage and motivate highly talented people to inspire great performance across departments
You have the ability to work effectively in a complex, diverse and changing environment
You are a strategic thinker & problem solver with the ability to be hands-on
You have the ability to balance being highly analytical and creative
Commitment & Compensation:
Competitive salary (based on candidate’s experience level)
The role is structured as a permanent position and the candidate will be based in Bergen or Oslo. International travel is expected
