We are looking for a new senior team member to join our investment team at our Stockholm office. What we have to offer

You will be part of a team of 14, thus having direct exposure and strong influence in the investment decision-making process of Inventure. You'll efficiently screen potential deals, evaluate startups, analyze and understand new business models, markets, and tech, manage the entire deal flow process and get a close-up view of the companies of tomorrow. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to represent Inventure at both startup and investor events, grow your network, and play a substantial role in supporting our founders on their journey.

What you will be doing

• Your main area of responsibility will be leading dealflow origination & qualification for the Nordic and Baltic markets leveraging our existing internal tools, network & processes — both generating and managing inbound and outbound sourcing, allowing us to spot incredible teams before anyone else

• Analyzing business plans, markets, industries, and technology trends, helping Inventure win the best deals

• Author investment memos and champion investment opportunities in presentations to investment team as well as leading deals independently

• Meeting and networking with exceptional entrepreneurs and attending various events

• Mapping and researching verticals across target geographies to identify attractive markets and companies

• Helping with building a more data-driven approach to managing our network, deal flow, and due diligence initiatives

• Manage a portfolio of investments, including working closely with portfolio companies to help grow their businesses, and serving in board director or board observer seats as required

• Lead and educate junior investment professionals to help build a team that is second to none in top-tier venture capital.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years work experience in venture funds or start-up experience

• You ideally have completed a degree from university but we’re open to all types of educational backgrounds (i.e. Engineering, Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Law, Political Sciences). We believe the strength of our team comes from having a diverse and inclusive workplace

• Self-starters — be able to run on your own, identify opportunities and prioritize without much guidance

• Data and Analytical mindset: You will analyze businesses with an incredible eye for detail and outstanding analytical skills as well as experience finding, cleaning, and manipulating data to build data sets

• A great storyteller with outstanding communication skills in English, Swedish a plus

• Preferably some experience in a Technical, Product, Marketing, or Operations role, or as a Management Consultant, Finance, or VC professional

• A great team player: you are kind and fun to be around, and your energy is contagious but you also have strong opinions and are willing to advocate for those opinions.
