Are you our Javascript Guru?

The position is a part-time / project-based position to further develop our VueJS-based front-end embedding technology that can be implemented on any type of CMS-site. The embedding technology is the front-end of our composable commerce platform for the travel industry, with focus on EU in the first stage. 

The person must live in the EU and we are looking for an employee, not a consultant.

We need you to do this:

The front-end implementation is done as a widget that is included in the HTML-code and can be positioned in any place of the site (by using certain html-elements). The widget allows customization in terms of colors, styles etc.The widget no not affect styling of the parent page.

The developer will work on adding new functionality to the current implementations according to the documentation already done. The front-end implementation communicates to the back-end through a REST API. 

You have strong know-how in the following areas

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and related modern technologies in web development. Includes deep understanding of the DOM, CSS, OOP JavaScript, CORS and common JavaScript libraries

• Experience of implementing REST API-communication

• Knowledge of some js framework, preferably Vue.js;

• Know-how of techniques such as Shadow DOM;

• Proficient in understanding web markup, including HTML5, CSS3;

• Experience in unit testing with JavaScript;

• Proficient in understanding cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them. The co-operation is long-term, which means much potential for the selected candidate.

What we are looking for in your educational background:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree. (Required)

• Certification(s) in any of the following is a plus: cloud, mobile, web application development, cloud-native application architecture (i.e., containers, javascript, microservices, API management), modern software development techniques like DevOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e., Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure developer services, and GitHub).

• Is fluent in English.
