Who is OwnersRoom?

OwnersRoom is a growth company within the FinTech domain that offers an investor platform to private companies, where they can build strong investor networks and thus simplify available capital. The focus is on the most important investor processes: To simplify business critical processes such as raising capital, investor relations and administration of the company’s shares and other securities. This is a rare opportunity where one can gain experience and knowledge about how to manage your own company, and how investment processes work.

They are a total of 9 employees, and the development team consists of three skilled developers where everyone takes pride in writing good quality code that is easy to maintain. The development team has a high level of trust in each other where everyone has their responsibilities. New employees will also have a lot of professional freedom in carrying out their work tasks.

Engineering at OwnersRoom

Their current architecture consists of microservices running in a Kubernetes cluster hosted on Google Cloud Platform. The services are primarily written in Go with some Node.js on the side. They’re big fans of infrastructure-as-code and use Terraform and Kubernetes manifests for everything. The primary database engine is Postgres, but they use BigQuery for business intelligence reporting. All testing and deploying is managed in CI/CD system and they trust and expect all developers to be confident using this to deploy their own code. They do their best to release early and often and are always striving to implement DevOps best practices.

Work tasks

They are looking for a backend developer with a wide skill set, with 3+ years of work experiance. We hope that you have experience with their current tech stack. If you don’t have experience, but are curious about the technologies, this is considered a positive motivating factor. OwnersRoom wants to become experts in the investor / funding domain and is looking for someone who is also motivated to become an expert in this domain.

Backend tasks 

• Writing Go or Javascript (GraphQL) code

• Writing unit tests

• Writing database migrations (SQL)

• Provisioning inf rastructure (Terraform)

• Improving CI/CD pipeline

• Writing Docker files

• Participate in sprint planning/retros

• Design Architectures for new solutions
