As a small start-up, we have been lucky to dive into an exciting tech stack to propel our autonomous robots and soon-to-launch, an adaptable robot platform for any type of clients in any market vertical. To make sure we grow and thrive, we have set up partnership with other companies that have expertise in a specific market vertical to customize the robot for the end user, such as Range Servant, a world leader in range equipment for the golf industry to create a robot able to collect golf balls on the range. In fact, a dangerous field for any human beings.  


Since there are over 20’000 golf clubs in Europe and the USA, we are in a hurry to grow and provide our pretty brilliant product to all those clients, hence we are looking for a Systems Engineer. Thanks to you, we will be able to accelerate the development of our platform and autonomous robots.  


As you guessed, there is a broad spectrum of technologies applied to create these robots.  


For the robot's software: 

  • Robotic Operating System (ROS) -implemented in Python and C++,  

  • Embedded firmware (micro-ROS and freeRTOS), 

  • Backend written in Go and deployed on GCP 

Our mobile app is:   

  • written in flutter 

We also: 

  • design PCBs and Electronics systems   

  • assist in construction decisions.  


As an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer, you'll be joining a top talent team of ambitious, creative, tech-loving people who love challenges think big, and aim to help people thrive by making it possible for everyone to work with something meaningful. 

 

Joining us means that you will:  

  • Take ownership of the of the full process of PCB design, i.e., designing, sourcing and testing of boards 

  • Setup SPICE simulations to evaluate circuits 

  • Maintain and add features to our firmware, using FreeRTOS and Micro-ROS 

  • Support us in certifying our products    


Your Experience 

  • 3+ years in a similar role  

  • In PCB design (component selection, schematic design and board layout) with extended knowledge in the following fields: 

    • Power electronics (efficiency optimization and EMC mitigation) 

    • Sensor and actuator integration (signal integrity) 

    • STM32 circuit design 

  • In firmware development using an RTOS 

  • In managing PCB production, assembly and supply chain 

  • In debugging electronic circuits and known to have an eye for details that matter  

  • In developing complete products, from idea to volume production, especially in terms of taking a product through a certification process 

  • You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering
