Top local restaurants in the Greater Helsinki region have quickly adopted our virtual food court model, allowing them to increase their food delivery related margins and expand their presence to new locations with decreased risks. For consumers, we have brought fresh, unique virtual food court experiences and enriched people's everyday lives with high-quality delivery and takeaway food concepts in previously unserved neighbourhoods.
Now, Huuva is expanding its business to new markets. The Expansion Team identifies and prioritises target markets according to Huuva's growth hypothesis and builds the groundwork for opening new virtual food courts. The Expansion Team onboards the local teams and seeds the Huuva culture to build one, global Huuva.
As an Expansion Lead, you have a full-stack role in dogfooding Huuva's business in new markets. Your job consists of analytical thinking, data-driven decisions, mastering partnerships and real estate rentals, continuously delighting consumers, and building a world-class operation with the support of our technology. In this role, you’ll get support and resources on the way. Still, we expect you to be an efficient independent leader with an exceptional ability to execute every day.
What you do
Analyse, evaluate and prioritise markets according to Huuva's growth hypothesis
Travel to the selected markets to do the groundwork for setting up Huuva’s operations
Onboard a local team with the help of HQ
Identify local hero restaurant brands and close partnership agreements
Identify food delivery companies and negotiate commission rates
Build a pipeline of venue prospects and support negotiating attractive rental agreements
Build and manage a network of renovation and real estate partners
Build and execute a marketing plan together with the delivery companies and partner restaurants
Develop and iterate Huuva’s expansion playbook and growth strategy

Ability to move from high-level business vision to nitty-gritty details of running a commercial-grade kitchen
Passion for solving the challenges of food delivery business stakeholders, incl. restaurants, 3rd party food delivery companies and real estate owners
Exceptional communications skills in English, German is a strong plus
Experience in a high-growth startup or scaleup, top-tier management consulting or equivalent
