At Weld, design matters. From the way we build our products, to the way we tell our story and showcase our brand to the world, good design is a foundational principle of Weld.

This is why we're looking for our first Visual Designer – someone who can help us elevate the Weld brand and take the reins on this critical part of the company.

In this role, you'll help us define our brand, identity and style. You'll be charged with bringing your own design flair and personality to Weld – by conceptualizing and executing design across a range of mediums. This includes our blog, website, sales collateral, ads, eBooks, marketing material... and so much more.

You'll be our first hire in the design department – so you can expect a lot of responsibility, autonomy and impact from the get-go. You'll get to play a defining role in carving Weld's image to the world. You'll work closely with Sam, who's leading the Growth and Marketing team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Define Weld's visual identity – from the colours we use, to our fonts, logo, style and much more.

• Drive the visual design area of Weld. You'll be leading this area and will be responsible for managing your project load to ensure that every aspect of the Weld brand shines through

• Plan and execute the visual design of several of our core marketing activities and assets, such as our blog, website, eBooks, ads, merch and more.

• Ensure that we maintain exceptional design quality and consistency across all of our mediums and channels.

• Make Weld become known to the world for our outstanding design taste and quality.

Who you are:

• A focused, enthusiastic graphic/brand/visual designer with freelance experience at an agency, company or with freelance

• A strong believer in the value of good design

• A self-driven and ambitious person who has a strong inner motivation paired with a positive mindset

• The competitive kind and always up for a challenge

• A people’s person: strong listening skills, humble, and curious

• A real team player – we have no room for sharp elbows, politics, or egos

• A creative mind – you love coming up with new concepts and ideas, and are always looking for design inspiration

• Experienced with motion design and/or working in a SaaS company (not needed, but nice to have)

Today, we are a team of 16 people spread around the world (Canada, Germany, Ukraine and Denmark) – with our HQ in Copenhagen. We're generalists; each with our expertise and constantly picking up new challenges as well as giving a helping hand where ever needed. We're looking for people who are eager to learn and who are not afraid of building things end-to-end. We want to find curious people who can pick up a given problem and solve it.
