We at MoveNation are looking for a Senior Full Stack Web Developer with Functional Programming experience to join our team as the first employee. We have been working full time on the project for about half a year. We have been accepted into an accelerator, wherefrom we have been allocated office space in Copenhagen. In the coming weeks we are pitching in front of investors and hopefully closing our first big round of funding. So now you have an unique opportunity to get a substantial amount of equity just before we start paying salaries. If you need a salary, we also offer a delayed salary with a 10% bonus, paid out once we get funding.

What are we doing?

We are on a mission to help people find the best country for them to retire in and live better for less. We are going to have a huge impact and solve the 400.000.000.000.000 USD problem that is missing in pension savings. We believe that one way to solve that is by helping people find a country where they can live better and cheaper. We want to be the Momondo for moving.

Functional programming is the programming paradigm of the future and so our entire stack is written in the dynamically typed functional LISP language–Clojure. This will be a great competitive advantage in creating novel solutions. 

Our tech stack:

• Your preferred Clojure backend technology

Must have:

• 3+ years functional programming experience 

• 5+ years experience with web development

Bonus points if you have:

• Clojure/ClojureScript experience

• TDD experience

• Experience in a growing startup

• Moved between countries

• A curious mindset and can demonstrate it via previous projects

• Web scraping skills

• Web charting experience with libraries such as D3.js
