Role

We are looking for a Financial Controller/Business Analyst to join our ambitious team in Espoo, Finland.

Our product is built based on our own frustration towards understanding quickly what can be developed in teams and business operations, so work can flow and business grow. Workfellow is the fastest and easiest way to find out what could be digitized, automated, and optimized in organizations.

We are an enterprise software (SaaS) company with big ambitions. We have been developing the product with our early customers for 14 months, just raised a new Series A funding round from industry-leading VCs and ex-top management from the world's fastest-growing enterprise software business. Now we're ready to speed things up.

As a Financial Controller, you will run our financial process on a daily basis and support the leadership team with analysis work to develop the business. This will include but is not limited to handling business administration such as reporting, customer invoicing, as well as implementing budgeting and operational processes. Also, analysis and modeling related to pricing, funding, etc. are relevant parts of this job. This is an opportunity to grow in both the finance and business side of the company, while learning quickly with a fast-paced startup. The role will be great for someone who wants to get real challenges in a startup early on and requires overseeing and taking ownership for all internal business reporting and contributing to the firm’s overall financial development. You’ll report directly to the CEO. 

Corporate Development responsibilities

• Support of the leadership team with business-related analysis

• Support the CEO in all aspects of financial-related activities e.g., preparing for board meetings

• Support in upcoming funding rounds

• Handling business administration, including:

  • Financial planning and analysis

  • Running organizational target setting process

  • Reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Organizational operational development activities

  • Customer billing and invoicing

  • Preparing materials for board meetings and investor materials

    
    

Skills

• Graduate in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Accounting or related fields 

• You already have work experience (1-2 years) from VC-funded startups in similar activities, management consulting, or another high-performance environment

• Understanding of financial processes; ability to develop concrete insights and analyses quickly

• Ability to handle routine reporting and continuously improve upon and further develop these; proactive about implementing routines and processes with the ability to work independently

• Passion and drive to learn how startups work, able to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly growing and changing environment

• Organized, self-starter with an international growth mindset

• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Great skills with Excel and Powerpoint 

• This role suits an ambitious team player committed to long-term success who is eager to develop and take on more responsibility fast
