The position requires a minimum of 30 hours (depends on your circumstances) per week. The hours are flexible, and we can plan them around your studies. We are looking to fulfill the position as quickly as possible. The position is unpaid, but we will be able to cover expenses like transport. We are always interested in hiring interns afterward, either as student workers or full-time employees, so there are plenty of opportunities for work after the internship.

Job description

The WasteHero platform harnesses machine learning to optimize every aspect of waste management, such as route optimization and prediction of container fullness. In your role as a Python Intern, you will help with maintaining and further development our of development environment.

Your daily tasks are, but limited to, the following list of examples:

• CI/DC pipelines for data products

• DevOps practices

• Unit tests at class & component level, and integration testing

• Server or Cloud management

• Participate in structed code reviews

• Hands-on experience with modern data processing practices

• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, developers

• Participate in daily SCRUM meetings

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with working with technical and non-technical people

• Good Python programming skills: Object Oriented Programming, Python Module design.

• Codeline discipline

• Interested in following recent technologies and web trends

• Comfortable with PM tools: Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence

• You’re excited about backend challenges, and inspire to always improve yourself
