Role overview

Heads up everybody! The talent pool of Thriv is expanding quickly, which is why we are now looking for a Head of Talent Management to lead this important core function of our business. In this exciting role combining both HR and technology, your responsibility is to attract new talents to join our pool and to qualify that every talent wanting to join our network has the skills needed to excel in their engagements. In addition, you will make sure that talents already in our network feel informed and inspired about the possibilities we offer.


About the job

  • Developing and implementing a talent management strategy

  • Identifying opportunities on how to grow our network of entrepreneurs

  • Conducting interviews with talents to qualify their technical and social skills

  • Supporting talents through career coaching and planning

  • Engaging with talents and our talent community

  • Developing the talent management system and keeping it up to date


About you

  • Strong interest in technology and background within software development

  • Comprehensive understanding of the IT industry in Finland

  • Knowledge of how modern engineering teams function and how software is built

  • Outgoing and sociable people-person who loves to network

  • Outstanding communication skills in English, Finnish is considered a plus

  • Proven experience in conducting interviews

  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and passion for growth


For example, you could be a developer passionate about technology, learning, and sharing. You regularly attend or even host technology meetups or community events, and like to keep in touch with likeminded people. When it comes to talking shop with developers, you are able to find out what they are really like – beyond the buzzwords – while making them feel comfortable and respected. However, you could equally well be a recent graduate who has shown passion for community management through various student association activities. In your freetime, you keep yourself busy by contributing to open source projects or deploying your own home automation system.
