Freelance Wordpress Developer

Donkey Republic is looking for a qualified freelance Wordpress Developer to assist us with the development and maintenance of our different websites.  

Who are we? Donkey Republic is an international bike share company on a mission to make cities more liveable, one bike ride at a time. We are 14,000 bicycles large in 60 towns across Europe, small and large, having served +1 million riders. Our aim is to bring convenient and affordable bike share to all cities around the world.

Key Tasks & Qualifications:

• Creating WordPress themes from design mockups (HTML, CSS, SASS, JS)

• WP multisites

• WPML (multilingual sites)

• ACF plugin

• WP custom post types and taxonomies

• WP custom admin pages

• Performance audit

• Custom Gutenberg blocks

• Maps API (Google Maps, Mapbox)

• High level linux user (connecting to server via SSH, run simple commands, etc)

• Git

• Roots/sage starter theme

• Good eye on design, UI/UX basics

• SEO basics (for creating SEO-friendly HTML)

• Accessibility basics (for creating a11y-friendly HTML)

Hours: 5-10 hours/week - can be more in peak periods.
