ParkShare is a fast-growing startup in need of a Back-end Developer Intern who can help us develop a software system and become part of our journey. We are looking for a person with the right technical skillset and a curiosity to learn, as working in a startup can be both challenging and thrilling as well as you share the passion, motivation, and optimism of building up a company and new software system with your colleagues.
ParkShare is a sharing economy platform for parking spots, where private people as well as companies, can rent out their parking spots when they don’t need them and thereby earn an extra income. At the same time, the parking spots become more easily accessible for drivers, who need parking. The Back-end Development team is therefore essential in ParkShare as they are developing the platform that our services are built on.
As our Back-end Developer Intern, you will mainly help us implement the system by programming the codes. You will also be responsible for continuously testing the system (E2E/whitebox testing). We are a strong believer in everyone contributing and having ideas with value. We want to implement ideas and see them come true and grow. Therefore, you can expect that the codes you develop during your internship at ParkShare will be launched and used in the real world.
The perfect candidate is:
Independent and driven. Some tasks are done independently but often while working in teams, so it’s important that you thrive in these conditions.
Good social and collaboration skills since we use a lot of teamwork and work with SCRUM.
Fluent in English, as ParkShare is an international workplace so the main language we speak here is English.
Familiar with Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Studying Software technology (IKT), Software Engineering, Computer Science or something similar. As long as you are enrolled at a university, VIA, or any other university colleges, we are interested in having you on our team.
Living in Denmark as the office is located in Aarhus and the internship will take place here.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Take part in the decision process regarding what features and versions will be developed and implemented together with the management team
Participate in SCRUM meetings
Whitebox and Blackbox/E2E testing
Engage in deployment process
Maintain and expand database in MSSQL
Implement functionalities, test new features and fix bugs before launches
Time estimation of tasks
Technical skills and knowledge required:
Objective-oriented programming, including C#.NET core

Working hours are generally from 8-16 o’clock, but we are flexible in terms of hours per week and will adjust it to your study program’s schedule. This also means that if you already have a student job, we will work with you to find a schedule that fits it all.
