About Us: 

Bantaba is a funding and knowledge platform for African tech startups. Despite a 22% entrepreneurship rate, 70% of startups in Africa lack access to talent and capital. This is the problem we are addressing.

Our digital platform enables African Startups to access knowledge and capital from the African community living outside of Africa (the “diaspora”). About the role:

We are looking for a UX/UI designer intern who is ready to join our growing team. We are keen on meeting you, who is independent minded and always willing to think outside the box. The internship will preferably be conducted from our office at A-house in Stockholm.

What you’ll be doing:

Your main task will be to make awesome visual designs of the various user-interfacing components of Bantaba including designing awesome email templates, social media contents, marketing and promotional materials, and UI/UX of the main platform itself. 

Role requirements:

- Have a good understanding of visual design standards, typography, iconography, and colors

- Proficient with Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD 

- Strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics

- Good Powerpoint skills 

- Fluency in English 

Meriting, but not required:

- A strong portfolio showcasing previous work 

- Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a big  plus

- Fluency in Swedish 

- Experience with Canva

You will take on big responsibilities and have a strong influence on how  our platform looks. You have scope to develop your skills and learn a lot about an emerging market startup ecosystem.
