Bower’s vision is to make recycling a rewarding no-brainer and create a world free from trash. We’re aiming to become the first impact tech unicorn in Sweden, helping +1B consumers make sustainable choices by rewarding them for doing the right thing.

We are growing at a rapid rate and you will be a driving force in growing our tech team in Stockholm. Since our launch in 2019, we’ve grown to over 260 thousand users with customers in 5 countries (Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, United States) with several more market entries to come.

1. Improve our app with top-quality.

2. Build up our in-house developer team together with our remote team.

Are you ready to improve our current React Native app with great user experience and scalable frontend infrastructure? Some of the challenges include multi-lingual localization, multi-market functionality, authorization, feature flagging, barcode scanning, a camera heavy app with machine learning features, as well as eye-catching design, including animation.

From the design perspective, you need to understand how to translate great design into great code, and have a great sense of what can be accomplished in React Native.

From the backend perspective, you need to work closely with our backend developers to create a high performant app with many internal and external API-couplings, third party libraries, native libraries.

Do you have what it takes?

• We're looking for competent frontend app developers that have 1-3 years experience. We're still a small company, so you we expect you to take responsibility for your role and be a leading role in the tech team.

• You have a genuine interest in consumer app solutions and are passionate about changing a traditional industry.

• You’ve got experience from working with companies in their early stages with a strong entrepreneurial culture, and are eager to join a fast-scaling startup in its international expansion journey.

• You’ve got at least 3 years of experience as a frontend/fullstack app developer.

• You're familiar with our tech stack: React Native, React-Saga, Native libraries for both Android and iOS, Unit testing libraries, CI/CD.

• Also: Pixel perfect designs, offline mode development, end-to-end testing, unit testing, multi-lingual localization, and understanding design tools (Figma).

• These words tickle you: app optimization, large-scale data, consumer insights, crowdsourcing, machine learning, agile processes, UX-design, animation, coaching, business mindset...

• You can plan for a future ahead, ensuring great scalability – while at the same time being pragmatic, understanding our business goals and not over-doing it by building a high-tech rocket ship just for the sake of it.

• You're someone who can communicate highly technical and complex issues in an easy and comprehendible way.

• You’re a person with integrity.

• You're good with people.

• You live in Sweden, want to be part of building our culture at the office but at the same time communicate and lead work with our remote team.

• You’re fluent in English (and preferably also in Swedish).
