We are looking for an experienced Frontend Developer, ready to take lead on our frontend. You will work closely with the co-founders, in particular the CTO/Product Owner, and be a part of the overall product development process. Together we will ensure we build the best product possible that supports both our short and long-term business goals.

We believe in a pragmatic approach where we find simple solutions to complex problems. We go to great lengths to build a product users truly love to use – a product that have great, well-thought-out UX that still looks awesome! We have a modern yet simple architecture, with a Frontend built with Vue and a Backend API built on ASP.NET Core/C# using MSSQL as database, all hosted on Azure and deployed through a CI/CD approach. We’re curious to learn more about the latest in tech, but realize the great value of using proven technology and software practices.

Your primary responsibility will be to write high quality, easily maintainable and re-usable frontend code.

Responsibilities

• Write high quality code and ensure a maintainable frontend codebase

• Actively engage in product development discussions

• Independently and jointly with the CTO research and make technical decisions on how to best structure the frontend and solve more challenging frontend tasks

• Technically guide and act as a role model for other frontend developers

Requirements

• Have 5+ years of experience working with HTML/CSS/JS

• 3+ years of experience working with at least one of the “big 3” component-oriented frontend frameworks; React, Vue, Angular

• Be very comfortable with JavaScript; both the fundamentals (e.g. events, async), common patterns as well as modern Javascript and more advanced areas (e.g. drag-n-drop)

• Be very comfortable with modern and pragmatic HTML/CSS; including how to write maintainable CSS (e.g. using SCSS/SASS, BEM)

• With ease use core software development principles/best practices to develop simple, yet flexible and maintainable solutions – so simple a junior developer can easily understand what is going on!

• Knowledgeable on what constitutes, and with a feel for, good UX

• Communicate without any hinders

• Lead experience

• Backend - in particular experience with the MS stack (C#/ASP.NET/EF)

• Databases – SQL and relational database design

• DevOps/Cloud-based hosting - in particular experience with Azure and/or AWS/GCP

• A Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science or equivalent
