About our game

We are currently developing a prototype of our digital educational card game set in a historical/ mythological universe, starting with the viking times. The aim is to inspire learning of history. The upcoming game is in pre production do you want to be a part of the journey?

The player will be taking charge of a civilization that will go through history. Letting you experience what happened in the past according to historical records. Decision making and dilemmas will create an engaging gameplay. While diplomacy, trade and wars are bound to start conflicts. This innovative game sees historical characters as cards moving and combat happening on a battlefield grid format. The inspiration comes from: Magic The Gathering, Civilizations, Age of Empires and Heroes.



The position is remote, part time or full time in a startup. The team members working here are all enjoying the journey of the project, full of passion. Currently we don’t have any money. Payment will happen after the game is sold or reaches funding. You can work remotely or sit in our office in Copenhagen.


The Developer position - bringing us the step further 

We are looking for a developer that can program our card- & city manager game in Unity. With the goals of making the cards and decks function in the game and interacting with each other, such as the combat system and in-game events. You will also program our turn-based historical city manager system.

You will have a say in decisions in the team. The project will run in 2021-2022, where you will be making the prototype. Further development will be possible afterwards. Your hours will be flexible. You can join full-time or part-time, in our office or join remotely, we will adapt. You have to commit to two short meetings per week.

We welcome both a go-getter, a person full of ideas and/or someone who prefer clear tasks.



  • C# experience or you know a similar language and you are on track to learn C#

  • Experience with databases

  • Experience with Unity

  • You can conceptualize code based on requirements



  • Experience with Network code

  • Experience with card games


Planned interview process

We plan to carry out two rounds of interviews, we imagine an online interview, potentially on a weekend. If you apply before the 26th of July, you can get invited for an interview the first week of august, If you apply later the interview will take place first week of September.

The inspiration comes from: Magic, Civilization, Age of Empires and Heroes. We are a member of Human & Legal Innovation Hub at UCPH, at South Campus (KUA) and Game Hub Denmark. The University of Copenhagen aids us with consultants, an office space, workshops and much more. WHY ARE WE DOING THIS AND HOW? The academic input we receive elevates the learning potential for our users comes from students and professors. With gamification, the end result is a tool for students, teachers, and the general population. Our learning-lab is an open space for experimenting with new ideas to generate new study practices. The traditional digital game medium offers great potential for learning. Commonly, players gain proficiency in certain areas after playing games with a particular focus, language and communication skills are one example. Most games are very entertaining, and do teach players certain things, but the learning process is not structured. While many educational games focus on the teaching aspect, they don’t utilize the other affordances of the media as described. They are quite frankly boring. Our mission is to make great games combining both worlds. The problem we solve is that people want to learn but they find conventional learning methods insufficient and disengaging. Also teachers have been stuck with old tools that cannot keep up with the modern student. But the publishing world and the market needs new products to sell to keep up with demand.
