Since 2010 we have created hundreds of activities for entrepreneurs and their supporters all over Norway and the Nordics, invested in more than 30 startups, and educated more than 600 investors. Yearly we work with more than 400 startups, supporting them with knowledge programs, investments, festivals, matchmaking with corporates, and a flexible workspace in Oslo when relevant.   

We also create events for the ecosystem throughout the whole year, including Startup Extreme, which is one of the largest startup-events in the Nordic ecosystem. 

Leading a vibrant startup-space in the center of Oslo

Startup Norway is searching for a new leading person for our coworking and office space in Oslo - Startup Norway Campus - www.startupcampus.no 

Startup Norway Campus is an entrepreneurial playground, coworking and event space in the middle of Oslo city center. This is our 2500m^2 home, where we sit together with startups, investors and friends from the greater startup ecosystem. 

The space is the offices of Startup Norway and our friends, and also offers facilities for events, video/podcast/streaming, food, café, networking events, dinners, and a 500m^2 roof terrasse for the best summer parties. 

The job is to lead and manage the full business unit of Startup Norway Campus, and be responsible for everything from daily operations, to reporting on business metrics to the board of directors.

As the new head of Startup Norway Campus, you will: 

• be leading a business unit within the Startup Norway universe

• be responsible for the creation of new offerings and services related to the space

• manage all income sales opportunities and onboard new clients

• be responsible for sales of offices and event facilities towards incoming leads

• be accounted on customer satisfaction with new clients and customers

• manage space related operations on a daily basis 

• handle office related practical tasks like meeting room equipment, furniture and kitchen equipment. 

• care to make the space a nice and friendly place to work from

• build and install new furniture and office equipment when needed.

• Event operations and delivery together with the event team at Startup Norway. 

• lead a team of 2-4 people, including event coordination and office management

• Manage budgets for the business units and account for the results

• support founders and startups at the space to your best effort

You are:

• a multi talent - knows a little about many things, from how to manage a business unit (business skills) , to constructing a shelf (handy with practical skills), to operating a service business (people minded and sales oriented) 

• great at creating real human relationships

• a service-person - experience and trained in service businesses

• a leader by nature, taking initiative and always looking for ways to improve and innovate for yourself and company.

• a natural salesperson, not afraid of pitching to customers

• skilled from minimum 3 years of relevant work experience. 

• the kind of person who always thinks win-win and brings to the table the customer perspective.

• a structured manager and leader, able to juggle multiple processes in parallel

• interested in entrepreneurship, innovation and the startup community, ideally someone that understands the startup world and the problems founders face 

• experienced with project management and / or team leadership

• handy, like to have a drill in your belt and fix small things on the fly

• one with the eye for interior design, furnishing and office layout. 

• an experience-designer at heart, thinking about the customer journey and experience when visiting and using the campus. 

• Ideally able to use and configure software and hardware equipment for office and event usage, like signage, audio equipment, kitchen and bar equipment etz. 

• self driven and self motivated, whilst also being a strong team player, motivated by seeing the entire team succeed.
