Treamer is a Maria 01-based award winning startup, providing an on-demand staffing platform to connect businesses looking for blue collar workers with the members of the Treamer app. We have been building the app since 2015, pivoted it successfully and now need strong leadership for our tech team as we grow the business beyond the Finnish borders with the help of the latest raised funding. 

We have a clear vision and are working hard to get there but a lot needs to be done.

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Android Developer to join our product team in Helsinki.

We are increasing the team of some of the most talented developers and designers in the region and building a great product for the world - this is where we need you.

What you bring with you:

  • Deep understanding of the Android SDK

  • Worked on consumer apps for Android devices

  • Worked on apps which support multiple Android devices

  • Experience collaborating on software projects with design and backend

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Works well as part of a team in a fast-moving environment

  • Good English

Great to have:

  • Insightful opinions about developing for mobile

  • Experience or interest in the whole development pipeline and process. We believe that developers know best what style of coding-testing-integration works best for them and support interest in improving things along the way.

  • Experience developing location aware mobile applications

  • Interest in looking at the other parts of the stack. You will communicate closely with fellow developers on the backend, Android and web side of things

  • Previous experience of startups or fast growing company is definitely not required, but very welcome

Your work environment:

  • We know our stuff and offer no-nonsense management. People at Treamer have at least 8 successful startups under their belt with at least 2 exists already happened (other ones continue flying high and have chances for good exists in the coming years)

  • We have worked on web services with millions of users (still running), we had our Android and iOS apps featured in the App Store and Google Play way more than once. Even some of our hobby projects sometimes dominate the less known app stores for months.

  • Agile development that makes sense. We do look at what our customers and users need, how they react to development and adjust accordingly. Yet we do not support any sort of “agile” crunches, do not buy the quickfix-driven development and give architecture the needed research time. You will receive help and you are expected to provide one.
