About this role:

We are looking for engineers with experience in full-stack web engineering. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'd be responsible for ensuring that our applications are usable, well-engineered, performant, and thoughtfully written both in our frontend and backend ecosystems. We encourage all engineers to take ownership over technical and product decisions, closely interact with users to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture. The challenges we face accelerating autonomy, requires a unique technical stack, mixing open-source robotics frameworks with cutting edge 3D-visualization libraries.

What you will do:

• Create new data models, services, APIs, or libraries to support our customer’s autonomy development

• Optimize performance and reactivity of application components critical to making sense of large scale results from simulations or drives

• Work with Typescript (React), Python, GraphQL, Postgres, Three.js/WebGL, and a little C++

• Collaborate closely with the UX and design team to create, maintain and evolve an original design system

• Maintain and develop a culture of engineering excellence for the product and codebase

   

What makes you a good fit:

• You have software engineering experience, including experience developing Frontend applications

• You have shipped high quality production software

• A deep technical background, working across frontend, backend, or anything else needed to get the job done

• You take initiative in a fast-paced environment

• Enjoy working closely with customers, partnering with them and seeking out feedback at all stages of a project

• Can take projects over the line from idea to finished product, managing a multiple-release roll-out if necessary

• You have a MS/BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience

   

Nice to have - but not required:

• Extensive experience with frontend, API layer, or rendering frameworks (such as React, GraphQL, Three.js/WebGL)

• Experience working with autonomous vehicle systems or simulation software, such as ROS or Gazebo

• Familiarity with 3D graphics

• Working knowledge of C++

• A deep love of solving performance bottlenecks across the stack

   

Mandatory
