Introducing: Nabogo

Nabogo is a Danish company, founded in 2018, with a clear vision: better transport for everyone, at lower costs, in an environmentally friendly way. The company developed a unique app around carpooling and entered into partnerships in Denmark with local and provincial authorities, public transport companies, social institutions and the business community.

Nabogo has since acquired a solid place in the Danish network of mobility solutions and the company is growing rapidly. In 2021, the time has come for international expansion. The Netherlands and Sweden will be the first countries outside Denmark where Nabogo will be launched and which will serve as an example for Nabogo's further international growth. In the Netherlands, Nabogo will start its  first pilot project in West Brabant in the autumn of 2021. The plan is to start a few more projects at the end of 2021 or early 2022, in the south and east of the Netherlands and in Flanders.

Nabogo brings carpoolers together in a unique and accessible way, thereby increasing social cohesion. Moreover, carpooling leads to less environmental pollution and the concept is financially attractive for both the driver and the passenger. Nabogo offers the government the advantage that a fine-meshed “public” transport network is and remains available – at a low cost. For public transport companies, nabogo delivers a fine-grained and very cheap solution for the first and last kilometers of a journey. In short, only winners!


What does nabogo have to offer?

Nabogo is a young, enthusiastic organization with a unique concept. A concept that brings value to all parties involved, including the environment! This makes it completely in keeping with today's time. As the first nabogo employee in the Netherlands, you are allowed to pioneer, and you can stand at the cradle of something beautiful and great.

Because you (at least in the beginning) are the only one working in the Netherlands, you get a lot of space, responsibility and freedom. You can interfere with everything and leave your mark on everything. You will also receive excellent support from the head office in Denmark with IT knowledge, mobility knowledge, marketing concepts, and all the other support you need. Your success is their success.

Are you a good fit?

For this position, we are looking for candidates with the following profile:

  • At least bachelor work and thinking level and a relevant education;

  • Several years of relevant (commercial) experience, for example in the mobility sector, in the consultancy world, with the government, or similar;

  • strong affinity with the service and technology that nabogo offers;

  • Ability to build and monetize a relevant and current network;

  • Outgoing personality, communicative handy and proficient in Dutch and English;

  • Enterprising, hard-working, independent, self-starting, persistent, proactive, organized;

  • Strong ambition for success, growth and performance;

  • Preferably living in the southern half of the Netherlands.


What is the challenge?

The first nabogo pilot in the Netherlands will start soon and leaves us wanting more. The Dutch market offers plenty of opportunities for nabogo. It's up to you to find, create and capitalize on these opportunities. That will be your challenge.

To this end, you make contact and enter into discussion with potential stakeholders such as government, public transport companies and carpoolers. You do this online, at trade fairs and seminars, at local or regional gatherings, and also at large national gatherings.

By naming the benefits of a collaboration, you connect parties. You create partnerships with large organizations. Through smart online and offline marketing and communication, you are able to grow the platform quickly and qualitatively.

The Dutch/Belgian market is expected to be more important to nabogo than its own home market by 2023. In time, you will build your own Dutch/Belgian organization, with multiple locations, close to the stakeholders.

Peer-to-peer ridesharing is the answer to many challenges. For example, on average only 1.05 people are seated in a commuter car, resulting in peak demands, queues and time wasted in the traffic. Furthermore, finding parking spaces in towns and cities and near large workplaces has not become easier. And last but not least, the high level of single-occupancy in vehicles has a significant impact on the environment. With a dedicated ridesharing effort, it is not unrealistic that together we can reduce the number of cars and CO2 emissions by up to 25%. That is why we have created nabogo, a ridesharing service for commuting and driving daily trips from villages to towns, business areas and stations. Our primary customer is the municipalities, and once the solution is established in the area, it can be used at no cost to the users. A successful transition to ridesharing does, of course, require the active support of municipalities, educational institutions, businesses and local communities in spreading information about the possibility of greener and cheaper commuting. And here, we are fortunately well on the way with several cross-cutting collaborations. A core functionality of the nabogo app is our pre-defined meeting places at locations to and from which people drive and that act as fixed collection and set-down locations for ridesharing. This makes it easy and quick to coordinate ridesharing, while creating a new infrastructure and improved mobility in the area. The app is deeply integrated with public transport in order to show all possibilities. We establish meeting places in cooperation with our partners, and the function means that there are good interchange points between ridesharing and public transport, for example at the stations. Nabogo is thus a complete alternative to driving in your own car. In cooperation with the municipalities, the communications effort is targeted towards villages and towns, and we engage companies and educational institutions so that the citizens are informed where they live and work or study.
