We are looking for an experienced developer ops with a good understanding and feel of MMORPG game design. Together with a small, but scaling team of co-workers, you will be joining our mission of creating the next generation of Free-to-Play PC / cross-platform MMORPGs.
As a developer ops working on Ember Sword, you will be setting up complex build pipelines for automatic testing and deployment in close collaboration with our CTO, your fellow programmers, and the design and art team.
A creative coder with a strong feel for gameplay and design
Passionate about games, gameplay and game development
Open to direction, feedback, and discussion
Someone with a strong work ethic, solid communication skills and fluent in English
Experience with setting up complex build pipelines for automatic testing and deployment
Experience with Linux (Debian preferred) and baremetal hosting
Experience in developing custom tooling for a CI pipeline. (e.g. testing the render pipeline, collecting analytics about performance regressions between builds, etc.)
Excellent coding skills, specifically in C++
Experience with vector math
Experience with rendering API (OpenGL/WebGL, WebGPU, Direct3D, others) and pipelines
GLSL shader knowledge
5+ years of experience in the industry – we’re open-minded and gladly talk with enthusiastic applicants with varying levels of experience
Bachelor in computer science or equivalent qualifications
Experience with WebGL, WebGPU and/or Web Assembly (emscripten)
