Will you be Brella’s next React Developer? 🧐

We thrive to help people network in virtual events as well as in traditional on-premises events. We are now looking for an experienced React Developer to join our product team and to help us develop a top-notch product for Brella’s customers and end-users around the world. You’ll get a chance to work together with our highly talented, international tech talents to build beautiful, scalable, modern, and innovative web and mobile apps.

You’ll be part of Brella’s Product team, based in Helsinki HQ or the Jyväskylä office, or work fully remotely in Finland. We're also open to discuss about remote work outside of Finland. Brella has no bureaucracy, a flat organization; your direct line manager will be the CTO. In your role, you’ll get an opportunity to build the next big thing for a $26 billion market that is growing steadily and nowadays also virtually: the event industry.

How would your daily work look like? 

• As a front-end developer at Brella, you’ll be assigned to a feature team with your colleagues from backend and design teams. As a team, you’ll be responsible for delivering and maintaining your feature.

• You will be working with our front-end monorepo: React/Redux/Sagas/Emotion/Storybook/Vite/Vercel & React Native Expo. Testing with Jest and Cypress. Occasionally maintaining our CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions.

• Test, measure & improve performance constantly.

• Work in short development cycles in an agile fashion. We deploy immediately when the feature is ready.

What kind of front-end developer you are? 

• You have gained hands-on experience in React and/or React Native.

• At least 1-5+ years of experience as a software developer.

• You like to keep your code simple & clean.

• You have been part of shipping a React or React Native project to an existing user base, at scale.

• You'll enjoy a high level of ownership of the features you work on and you place a lot of value in the clarity, scalability, and overall quality of your code.

• The front-end field is moving fast so you easily keep up with the field and want to share knowledge with your team.

• You love coding, but you also have communication skills and the ability to discuss design decisions. We work as a team!

• You like to follow what happens in the industry.

• You have an understanding of agile product development.

• You have good English skills, it's our internal working language.
