FlyPort is a Stockholm based startup within the aviation industry, focused on bringing immersive and cost efficient training to use in commercial aviation - all by the use of portable and accessible VR-technology. As a VR Game Developer at FlyPort you will be implementing and expanding the functionality into our virtual cockpits. You will be joining a team of pilots, 3D-artists and students about to change the way we think of pilot training.
Our previous interns has landed jobs as developers and 3D artists at Scania and Paradox Interactive.
FlyPort is an innovative startup founded in 2020 that has expanded quickly and has already won the renowned SKAPA Award for 2020 for Young Innovators representing Uppsala Län.
Our customers include airlines and flight schools and our product is a procedure trainer for commercial pilots learning a new aircraft type or switching to a new airline.
We are in the progress of launching our first product and will during the autumn of 2021 expand our fleet base to aircrafts such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the Airtractor Firebomber, the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737 MAX 8.
What we're looking for is a dedicated and skilled VR Game Developer who wants to join an innovative startup in the beginning of its journey.
Your tasks will be to implement functionality in our Oculus Quest 2/Pico Neo 3 based training platform. You will be working in Unity with assistance from our senior game developer advisor.
You should possess the following skills:
Good experience working with Unity and C#
Interest in VR development and industrial practice of VR-training
Team player with high working ethics
Experience working with Github
Have a scheduled intern period of at least three months during late summer and autumn of 2021.
