What's Off Script?

Off Script is a social commerce platform that enables creators to run and operate their e-commerce from their phones. We're on a mission to reinvent e-commerce by putting people in the center.

Our goal is to make Off Script the best way for creators to run their e-commerce. To do that, we have built an e-commerce platform that enables you to set up your shop from your phone in minutes.

On one hand, we connect to e-commerce platforms to pull inventory, product data and connect to brands. On the other hand, we enable creators to run their shop. No inventory, no logistics, no admin. We have 130+ brands signed up that creators will be able to sell, and we are actively on-boarding these brands now.

Off Script is funded by VC and Angel Investors and we are going to go big this year to scale our operations. That's where you come in.

What you'll do

We're looking to hire an experienced Front-end Web Developer with a passion for building and scaling high-quality web applications. Your work will make a difference to our business, and you will play an integral role in how our product and company evolve.

Here are a few things we expect from you:

• Develop, test and deploy your code

• Learn the business domain, participate in the requirements gathering process

• Troubleshoot production issues, provide resolutions and recommendations for improvement

• Engage in the full product lifecycle as part of a cross-functional team. Gain a deep understanding of the problems we need to solve and apply that knowledge to building solutions.

• Take initiative and ownership of projects from design to implementation to deployment.

Who we're looking for

We want a person that can wear many hats. One day you'll be building a new feature for brands. On a different day, you might be improving our web UI or learning from our customers how to create a better user experience. Every day is different and it's a constant learning process. This means that we are constantly doing things we never have done before. You don't need to be afraid of trying new things and messing things up.

We are also looking for someone that can take ownership of your process from start to end. You are not afraid to give and receive feedback. You can bring new ideas to the table. We try to keep a lean structure on how we do things where everyone is responsible for their work.

What's the stack?

• We use Typescript in all our codebases.

• Our whole infrastructure is all on cloud services based on AWS and Vercel.

• Our "back-end" is a GraphQL API (built with Hasura) connected to Serverless and a few Dockerized applications built on Node.js. We're also experimenting with Deno.

• On the web, we are running things with NextJS (React) and TailwindCSS.

If you don't know or have experience with a few stuff on the list, not a problem, you can learn on the job. You can still be considered if you have 50% of the requirements.

What to expect from us

This is a paid position in Stockholm with a good salary. We are remote-friendly, but we expect a little bit of human interaction (after COVID is gone).

FAQ

What does the process look like?

If you are considered in the first review we'll invite you for a screening meeting. Then we proceed to a few interviews with different people in the team to assess both cultural and technical fit. This can go between 3 to 6 interviews total. You can expect some hands-on testing in the process. We explain more in-depth at the first screening.

Can I expect feedback if I am not considered?

Unfortunately, we can't give feedback to everyone who applies. Further in the process, we commit to giving feedback to applicants.

Do you work with external recruiters?
