Here is an opportunity to become part of a completely new concept in marketing of events and activities. A market we expect to explode very soon! As a technical co-founder, you will get a large and significant role in the development of our new platform. If you are the right person, you go in as an equal and are expected to contribute with all your knowledge, passion and commitment.
What we do and where we are right now
Buzzfriend is an online service that markets and sells activities and events. The focus is on creating an entertaining and engaging experience for visitors, something that doesn’t exist aywhere at the moment. The concept has already been validated against the market through an MVP (check it out on buzzfriend.se) and the next step is to develop it further towards commercialization. For this, we want to find an ambitious, dedicated and professional CTO who also wants to join as a partner and take the project to the next level. The team currently consists of the founder, a developer (part-time) and UX / UI designer (part-time).
What’s in it for you?
As a technical co-founder, you’ll have the main responsibility for everything that has to do with developing the site. You’ll get the freedom to make decisions you see best suited, always in consultation with your co-founder of course. We believe that you want to be involved in building a strong brand and do your utmost for our (yours too) company to achieve great success. Apart from technical skills, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities, such as your ability to collaborate, personal motivation as well as the chemistry with the founder. You have preferreably worked with startups before, but mainly we want you to have experience building products and feel very comfortable with your skills.
Our MVP is built through Django and Python. But you’ll have the freedom to select the architecture, tech and tools as you best see fit.
The role is not just about typing in code, but you are highly active in creating the entire concept. Sure, you’ll have to use all your technical ability but you are also welcome to apply all other skills and experiences you may have. Important to note is that we must address the needs of both users (visitors to the site who’ll hopefully end up buying tickets) and event organizers (paying customers). We must create something useful and appealing for both segments. As soon as we can prove a scalable business model, we will look for funding to continue to build the company and with that, a salary to support everyone working for the company.
What we’ll be working on, toghether
The next step is to develop a few more functions and improving the page visually and its user friendliness. All assumptions have been validated through the feedback we have received from both customers and users. Eventually we will also need to develop an app. The key feature to be developed is a personalization function, an algorythm to elevate the user experience (think of a Netflix). Official launch is planned for this summer – we already have a number of organizers interested and waiting for the final product to be ready so they can start using BuzzFriend for their marketing and ticket sales.
Come join BuzzFriend for this exciting project! The CTO / technical co-founder’s role is absolutely crucial to the company's success. We are eagerly waiting for you. If you don’t think you fit the profile, perhaps you know of someone else who would? Let us know! Thank you.
