The person we are looking for is an ambitious, smart, hard-worker, who is excited to help build a sales engine from the ground-up and make a meaningful impact in a fast-moving company with a grand vision.
Our investors are Founders, who are behind companies like Pleo, LifeX, Son of a Tailor and many others.
Butter is a new Fintech startup, looking to financially empower shift workers by:
A) Giving them access to their salary when they need it
B) Provide an overview & forecast of their salary (after tax) in real-time
C) Helping them set targets and save for their goals
We have been live for 8 months with our product and have been iterating with our first customers. We have recently signed some of the largest companies in the restaurant industry (Frankies, OliOli, MadKastellet) and are excited to put the pedal to the metal on sales, where we think we are close to finding the formula.
Last summer we raised more than €1,000,000 from Founders and Vækstfonden, and are now getting ready to build our sales engine out.
The company was founded by Kristian (CTO) and Jonatan (CEO). Jonatan learned the ropes at Oliver Wyman in London and has been working in different parts of the start-up world over the last 4 years, working with everything from venture to management position at a scale-up. Kristian learned the ropes working for C25 clients at Deloitte, before moving to Novo Nordisk - he has also previously founded 2 startups.
We are co-located with our investors, Founders, who are heavily involved and support us on Design, Growth, and Tech - with the Partners involved on a weekly basis.

We are looking for an Account Executive, who is ready to take the next step and spread Butter out in Denmark (see what we did there?). This role is also an opportunity to come in and help form a sales function from the ground up in a fast-growing startup.
We have started to see our sales formula working (signed 5 clients in 4 weeks), and the new members of the team have been able to sell within 2 weeks of starting, so we’re confident that the right profile will be able to scale our sales.
The role will require you rolling up your sleeves from day one, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting leads via outbound activities, qualifying opportunities, delivering amazing product demos and following up to ensure the customers are happy. The CEO will be supporting building processes, clarifying value props and closing deals, but the more responsibility you are able to take on, the more you will be given.
Daily activities include:
Full-funnel sales activities:
Mapping & prospecting activities
Start conversations through outbound sales efforts
Set up meetings with decision-makers in mid to large size companies
Demonstrate the product to decision-makers
Negotiate deals
Company-building:
Start developing sales processes
Document efforts in CRM
Test out different sales approaches with a data-oriented approach
Think through the hand-over process to on-boarding and how this would work at scale
Relationship-building:
Ensure customers are happy over time

We expect you to:
Speak and write Danish & English fluently
Have sales experience - Ideally you have worked 1-3 years with sales in a B2B environment within SAAS / software sales
Have a track record of being a doer and google is your best friend when you meet a challenge
Be ambitious - you love hitting targets and are able to self-motivate!
Be bold - you’re not afraid to pick up the phone to get to tell people about Butter
Have excellent communication skills - You will execute email, social & calling outbound prospecting campaigns
Have a good sense of humour - be willing to contribute to this being a fun place to work
Be excited by building a big company from scratch, and want to grow personally on the way there
Be able to work at our office in Copenhagen (though you are free to choose to work remotely as well).
You should expect to work normal working weeks, though overtime may occur in busy periods.
